Hello! I am Brooke Bellamy, owner of Mad Money Consulting. I am a CPA who has spent her entire career supporting businesses through accounting, tax, litigation support and consulting. After working in big and small firms, I realized there is a gap in the market for small and micro-businesses when it comes to servicing accounting and consulting needs at an affordable rate. I want to support your dreams and the growth of your business by taking care of your accounting concerns. I have a large network of other professionals (advisors, attorneys, etc.) to cover and support any need that may arise with my clients. I currently live in Baltimore, Maryland with my husband and two dogs. I never turn down a board game night, a trip to a barcade or a comedy show.
Why Mad Money?
When I was a teenager, I was going on my first official date. I told my grandma about it and she pulled out a $20 bill. She told me this was not for spending on snacks or the movie. It was my Mad Money. I gave her a puzzled look and told her I did not know what in the world she was talking about. She told me that in her day, you always had your mad money in case you needed a quick exit, usually getting a cab or something of that nature. I was blown by this concept and it became and inside joke with me and grandma.
Mad money represents safety and working together towards a sense of financial security and comfort - whatever that may look like for each individual person, client or business.
